I admit it, I’m incredibly hard on gardening gloves. I go through them like nobody’s business and only get 30-45 days use out of them before holes appear in the fingertips or the stitching starts to unravel.
But these Magid gardening gloves are a beautiful and tough pair of gloves. They’re very high quality and extremely durable. I’ve really put them through their paces of late with some hardscaping projects and some wet gardening projects and the Magid gloves kept my hands dry and protected throughout.

More importantly, the goatskin leather is extremely comfortable. So much so that I actually want to wear these gloves and practically forget that I have them on when I end my work for the day. They also slide on and off very easily, even when wet and caked with mud. I’ve had some gardening gloves which were nearly impossible to pull off when wet unless I peeled them off, which left them inside out. Not these. With a fall chill in the air, they’ve also kept my hands very warm even when working in mud and they haven’t left my hands stinking like wet leather as unlined gloves do. They also have a surprisingly strong grip, unlike other leather gloves I’ve tried.
I suppose the durablity of the Magid gardening glove has something to do with the kevlar liner (that’s right, the stuff they make body armor from). The glove is ANSI Cut Level 2 cut resistant (stamped in bright red letters on the back of my sample). I haven’t yet tried to draw a sharp blade over the glove to test them, I thought I’d leave that to others just in case the claim is more marketing than factual.
Recommendation: Buy these gloves.
